Item: 94 Description: M-2422 Locke Double Stamped. This style is scarce enough on its own, but this example is double stamped with the Locke logo marked on each side as shown in the two views. Only a few are known double-stamped. While I focused on the markings, don’t overlook the nice colored glaze with the mottling on the umbrella. The insulator measures 8 inches wide at the umbrella; 7 inches at the base; and stands six inches tall. Grade B: View 1 shows a thin flake on the left ear with small flakes on the top edge. There’s an inch-long flake inside the cable groove on the upper left edge. View 2 shows two thin flakes, one on each ear. Estimate: $100 - $120 Open: $70 Closing price: $210 |
