Item: 93 Description: U-2470 Swiss Langenthal (Switzerland) Cross Top. Although faint, the marking is on the base skirt. Insulators from Italy & Switzerland of this overall shape, whether cross tops or not, are known as Beznau styles. I’m not sure how long the name Beznau has been associated with electrical power, but the Beznau Power Plant in Switzerland is one of the oldest nuclear power plants in the world. This insulator is Grade A-Plus . It is fairly large in size measuring 6-and-three-eighths inches wide at the umbrella and standing 7 inches tall. View 3 shows the base.
