Item: 70  Description: Famous Train Prints. On August 26, 1999 the US Postal Service issued a set of five stamps depicting famous trains based on watercolor images painted by train artist Ted Rose (1940-2002). This is a set of five prints of the paintings upon which the stamps were based. View 1: The Hiawatha served Chicago to the Twin Cities. View 2: The Daylight served Los Angeles to San Francisco. View 3: 20th Century Limited ran New York to Chicago. View 4: Super Chief from Chicago to L-A. View 5: Congressional from Washington DC to New York. The prints are on acid free, heavy stock paper and measure 16 inches by 13 inches. Each print contains an actual example of the issued postage stamp. Additionally the lot will contain the full sheet of stamps. See View 6. The prints and stamps are being sold as one lot; and your one bid is for the complete package. All are in superb condition! To protect them, these will be mailed separately from any insulator purchase.
