Item: 57 Description: U-1942E Incused: T in a Circle. The logo is on the side of the crown. Underneath the logo is the date “1939”. This is a Russian dry spot insulator. As the NIA website explains, “the top unscrews to expose openings inside the skirt and wire groove to allow a telephone drop wire to pass through the insulator to provide a dry spot from rain” for the connection.
