Item: 19 Description: CD 1038 Cutter (030) Emerald Green. View 1 and View 2 show the two sides of the insulator. Note: The wavy line running horizontally through the base on both sides is a deep “straw mark” or fold in the glass. It appears as if some glass was poured in the mold and then more was added and the two parts didn’t congeal well. View 3 shows the ribbed base. View 4 looks down at the top showing the circular embossing. In that view, the “CUTTER” name reads upright at the top and “APR 26 04” is upside down on the bottom half. View 5 compares the color and size of this insulator with Item 18. Grade B-Plus: A couple of small, paper-thin, flakes on the front edge; two flakes on one corner at the back; and minor nibbles. It’s quite possible all these “faults” occurred when the insulator was removed from the mold. Estimate: $800 - $1,000 Open: $450 Closing price: $1,400 |
