Collectors who have seen it, are really impressed with the color of this pony from the Grandma Sammis collection (See Welcome Statement). It lines up with the color Dudley Ellis calls DARK Midnight Blue in his reference book, Canadian Pony Insulators. Dudley said cobalt blue Canadian ponies come from a different mold than this one.
