Item: 9 Description: CD 120 C.E.W. w/ Yoke, Harness & Side Pin. The insulator is the (020) EIN with Mold Line Over Dome. It is light blue with faint amber swirls. See View 2 and View 3. The insulator is Grade A-Minus for a couple natural annealing lines and some nibbles around the base. The yoke and line-wire guide are made of yellow brass. View 4 shows the pin with its square nails and red paint. California Electric Works painted the pins to give them longer life. This set up was used when lines were built through heavy timber such as Redwood or Sequoia Groves. The extra play in the wire prevented line breakage if a tree limb fell on the wire.
