Item: 88 Description: U-648 Fred M. Locke in White Glaze. The marking is faint. See View 4. Readable are: “…M. Locke, Victor…” Note how the “M”, the “L” and the “V” are the same size as the letters next to them. And how there is a period after “M”. That would indicate that this is the 0-7 marking which doesn’t have a patent date; or a 1-6 marking with an unreadable patent date above the visible line. Either way, the marking is unlisted on a white glazed U-148. Detroit Edison lineman Ken Stefan found this insulator on the old Detroit Public Lighting system. Grade B-Plus: Small flake on the base of the umbrella visible at the bottom of View 3. Estimate: $250 - $300 Open: $200 Closing price: $200 |
