Item: 86 Description: CD 127.1 W.U.T. / Cauvet’s / Brookfield (050) Light Aqua with Amber & Milky Swirls. W.U.T. stands for Western Union Telegraph. Louis A. Cauvet obtained the patent for threads in insulators in 1865; however this insulator bears an 1870 Brookfield patent date. This early “Straight Sides” has a great swirl start to the threads.
