Item: 86 Description: CD 578.1 Stolle (Poland) Straw. Julius Stolle and a partner purchased a glass factory in 1889, and Stolle became the sole owner after the partner drowned in 1905. His business was a success and the company eventually became the Nieman Glassworks which produced so many of the bright and colorful insulators that have come out of Eastern Europe. This is a large and hefty insulator measuring 3.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches tall. Grade B-Plus: Has a couple of tiny pings near the crown. Estimate: $100 - $120 Open: $75 Price realized: $75 |
