Item: 7 Description: CD 131.4 L.G.T. (015) Light Aqua. Note in View 2 that the middle bar of the letter “F” in “FEB” is missing. This is an early threaded telegraph insulator made by Brookfield for Luther G. Tillotson who owned a business selling telegraph and railroad supplies. Structurally, this is a very sound insulator with only a tiny nick on the lower wire ridge just above the “25”. See View 2. You’ll have to take my word on it because even I can’t see the spot in the photo. It’s that tiny. The front of the insulator (View 1) is lightly strained from having been buried face down in the dirt. This is an excellent candidate for light tumbling if one was so inclined. Note how bold the embossing is. Grade A-Minus . Estimate: $250 - $300 Open: $120 Closing price: $230 |
