Item: 67 Description: CD 579.5 Double Double-Headed Eagle Logo on Insulator from Imperial Russia. This emerald green insulator is a first for me. I’ve seen lots of old Russian insulators embossed with a single Imperial Eagle, but this one has the Double-Headed logo at both the start and end of the embossing. See View 1 and View 2. With the symbol of the Imperial Court, this insulator was made prior to the communist revolution of 1917. No damage from usage. The insulator does have several lehr kiss marks on the front skirt & crown. Grade A-Minus . Estimate: $200 - $250 Open: $120 Closing price: $470 |
