Item: 63  Description: Three Bain Break Porcelain Insulators. These were made for use in suspending arc lamps, insulating guy wires, and insulating span wires… according to advertisements by the Central Electric Company of Chicago. View 1 and View 2 show two very scarce examples in brown and tan glazes. View 3 and View 4 show a white example, which is more frequently seen. View 5, View 6 and View 7 are from Central Electric advertisements from the 1890's thru early 1900's. These images were posted on ICON by James Lindsey. (Thanks for sharing with the insulator collecting community.) The dark brown example is  Grade B-Plus for two small flakes. The tan example is  Grade B for three medium flakes and one small slice. The white one is  Grade B for a larger flake. These are small insulators. The ones in View 1 are about two inches across; the white one is slightly larger. Your one bid is for all three.
