Item: 5 Description: CD 106 W.G.M. (010) Light Straw / Off Clear. This pony is from a legendary find of WGM’s. View 1 is taken in direct sunshine. View 2 and View 3 are taken in a backlit display case. This insulator is from the famous find of Denver ponies that had been used inside the Argo Tunnel near Idaho Springs, Colorado. The four-mile-long tunnel serviced a number of the area’s gold mines. Lacking solar exposure inside the tunnel, the insulators did not turn purple. View 4 is a historic photo of the tunnel entrance. Grade B-Plus: Small wire ridge flake and nick on reverse as shown in View 3; couple nibbles and a tiny base flake; couple short natural annealing lines in skirt.
