Item: 378 Description: U-1510 (Germany) Specimen. This auction lot is for four shards from an extremely rare and very early type of threadless insulator from Germany. The style was used on a line built in 1863 from Regensburg to Donauwoerth. Only a few unbroken examples are known. View 3, which is NOT part of this auction, shows one of these that has been restored. It may be a long time before an unbroken, or even a restored, example becomes available for purchase. These shards appear to be from at least two different insulators and do not fit together. They just represent one of Germany's rarest and oldest style of insulators. Estimate: $40 - $50 Open: $20 Current bid: No bids yet |
