Item: 369 Description: Lightning Rod Items: Milk Glass “Onion-style” Lightning Rod Ball with a Brass Trident Topper Mounted on a Roof-Like Display. The value is in the topper. This one is made by the Ajax Lightning Rod Company of St. Louis, MO in the 1895 – 1905 era. I was unable to find any completed eBay auctions for an Ajax marked topper, but toppers typical sell for $75 to $150. View 2 is a close up of the topper. Notice the marking . It is in Grade A condition . View 3 is a close up of the milk glass onion-shaped ball. These were sold by the Bartlett Lightning Rod Company of St. Louis in the 1890’s. This one has a chip at the top and is Grade B . For display purposes, the items are mounted on a roof-like structure. See View 4 and View 5.
