Item: 367 Description: Bottle: Embossed: James Buchanan & Co Ltd / Distillers / By Appointment / To His Majesty The King. Scottsman Buchanan distilled Scotch Whiskey for sale to the British Parliament starting in the 1880’s. He was licensed by Queen Victoria and later King Edward the Seventh (1901 – 1910), which was when this bottle was made. This bottle has an image of a lion and a horse embossed on the front. Not really a flask, the bottle is quite fat as shown in View 2. Has an applied lip. The bottle is 7.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide. Grade A-Minus for a light scratch on the reverse side.
