Item: 351 Description: Ink: Vintage Dietzgen Drawing Pen Ink Filling Stand. The arm (View 2) which holds the dipper can be opened by depressing the tipper bar. Also, the bar can be locked in place when not being used. A rubber gasket sealed the top of the ink well between uses. A brass horseshoe-shaped bracket holds the ink bottle in place. The three-quarter ounce bottle is embossed on the bottom: HIGGINS / INKS / BROOKLYN N.Y. This Dietzgen product was patented in 1927. I found these on the internet at prices ranging from $28 to $60. The metal and the bottle are all Grade A . The dipper and the gasket would need replaced if this was put into service. Estimate: $40 - $50 Open: $25 Closing price: $45 |
