Item: 289 Description: U-1792 Ink Marking for Its Year of Manufacture: 1875. This style was made for Siemens & Halske by Gorodok Porcelain of St. Petersburg, Russia. Siemens was an early telegraph equipment supplier in Europe, including Russia. The holes through the ears were for an additional tie wire to hold the line wire in place.
