Item: 282 Description: CD 636 BORGO / S.1. (Italy). This unusual shaped “platter” insulator measures 5-and-7/8ths inches wide by only 2 and 7/8ths inches tall. The embossing is on top the ears. View 2 pictures the insulator from the base so you can better see the color. It has a threaded aluminum insert in the pin hole. These are fairly scarce. The BORGO factory marking was only in use from 1921 to 1928, so this was made sometime during that time period. Grade A-Minus: No chips nor flakes. Does have a number of pin pricks on the surfaces; and a few nibbles around the edge. Estimate: $75 - $100 Open: $45 Closing price: $65 |
