Item: 272 Description: Scratch & Dent: CD 128 Hemingray (010) Opalescent. View 1 and View 2 are taken with natural light and a black cloth background. View 3 and View 4 have the insulator in a light box resulting in a Vaseline appearance. Has a large upper wire ridge chip best viewed in View 3. There’s a small lower wire ridge flake just below it. Also in that view, you can see a base bruise. The insulator has additional small wire ridge flakes and nibbles. Great color, but the condition is below average. Grade C-Minus . In undamaged condition, the Price Guide values these at $250 - $300. This insulator is from the collection of Grandma Sammis. An early day collector, Ellen Sammis assembled a nice collection of insulators prior to her passing in 1995. That collection was stored away intact until this past summer.
