Item: 271 Description: Bottle: British Ginger Beer Bottle. Embossed: Ledicott’s / Southend-On-Sea. The geographic location of this brewery is near Essex, about 40-miles from London. Most of the Ledicott’s bottles I found at auction websites were made of porcelain. I did find some lemonade bottles in aqua glass with the Ledicott name, but no olive green ones. The neck on this bottle is hand finished and has inside screw threads. It likely dates from the early 1900’s. The bottle is 7-inches tall. If it was an insulator, I’d give it a Grade A-Minus for some light wear around the neck. Estimate: $10 - $15 Open: $5 Price realized: $35 |
