Item: 269 Description: Bottle: Honey Jar in clear glass embossed “I Pound Pure Honey” with an image of a beehive. The base is embossed “Honey Acres”. That’s a business in Wisconsin that has been operating since 1852, according to its website. This cork top bottle likely dates from the 1950’s. I base that on having found them (not this one) myself while digging dumps of that era. There are several of these for sale on eBay. Ones with free shipping were in the $10 - $12 range. Ones with cheaper prices want to charge $8 or so for shipping. This jar has beveled edges and stands 6.5 inches tall. It is Grade A . Estimate: $6 - $10 Open: $5 Closing price: $16 |
