Item: 268 Description: Confederate Lot 3: From excavations at the Southern Porcelain factory site in Koalin, South Carolina we offer the following lot: Kiln furniture used in firing porcelain objects. The “Y” shaped pieces were used between porcelain plates to keep them separated and prevent them for fusing during firing. Among the items made at the factory were cups, plates, saucers, pitchers and other household items. The round object is a glaze test piece.
