Item: 259  Description: M-2450 Unmarked Thomas with Bands of Streaky Glaze on Umbrella. View 3 shows two blue jean seam lines. We literally mean blue jeans. According to Elton Gish, the Thomas company (between 1904 and 1912) used denim pants legs in the manufacturing process to prevent the mandrel from sticking to the damp clay. Also in this example, the two shells are held together with sulfur cement.  Grade A-Minus: Couple light wear spots on base. This is a medium sized multi-part measuring 8-inches wide by 7.5 inches tall.
