Item: 254 Description: U-1654 Giesche Porcelain (Poland). According to the NIA’s website, the company was established in 1923 and had nine furnaces and 650 workers by 1929. Insulators were a major part of the company’s business, especially in those early years. The logo is incomplete on this insulator. My perception is that it’s intended to be a G with a lightning bolt crossing over an insulator, but only the top of the insulator shows. Grade B-Plus: Minor separation of the porcelain at one small spot on the base, likely a factory flaw. Estimate: $40 - $50 Open: $20 Price Realized: Not sold |
