Item: 243 Description: CD 121 C.D.&P.T. CO. (020) Aqua w/ Light Amber Swirls. The initials stand for "Central District & Printing Telegraph Company". Founded in Pennsylvania in 1874, the company used equipment that printed out telegraph messages instead of using Morse Code. The company changed over to telephone equipment in 1877, but retained the name until 1913. This is a telephone insulator made in the early 1900's. View 2 shows a nice "straw mark" running diagonally across the entire insulator. Grade B-Plus: Has a little extra glass on the surface from a lehr kiss; and a couple of tiny wire ridge flakes.
