Item: 234 Description: CD 121 C.D.&P.T. Co. (020) Aqua. The letters stand for Central District & Printing Telegraph Company. The company was founded in 1874; changed over to telephones in 1877; but retained the word “telegraph” in the name until 1913. It became part of the Bell Telephone System in 1918. Today, it’s part of the Verizon network. Has a nice squiggly straw mark shown in View 2. The insulator is also out-of-round. Grade A-Minus: Couple natural annealing lines in the skirt.
