Item: 204 Description: U-Number Unassigned: Polish Street Light Insulator. View 4 shows one in use. The insulator is supported by a special bracket. Its base is threaded… but to hold a fuse. See View 2. View 3 shows the insulator without the fuse in place. Note that the bottom portion, with the electrical components, is glaze welded to the upper part. The top umbrella is 5.25 inches across. Without the fuse, the insulator stands 6.5 inches tall. Numbers are incused on top the umbrella. The electrical component at the base is marked ‘MADE IN POLAND” and with power load notations. Grade B: No chips nor flakes. The tip of the fuse is broken and there are a couple of fractures in the electrical component at the base. The line wire wore through the glaze on a portion of the crown. View 5 shows another unit in service. We are told these date to the 1940’s & 1950’s. Estimate: $100 - $120 Open: $65 Closing price: $65 |
