Item: 202 Description: U-1692 No Markings Red Glaze. This German insulator is described by our European consignor as dating to the 1890 – 1900 period. It measures 2.75 inches across by 4.5 inches tall. Our consignor says this style is “unique because the glaze is acid resistant, while other red glazed porcelain insulators will turn white after acid treatment” (cleaning). Grade A-Minus: No chips nor flakes; but some of the red glaze is worn off in the wire groove. Estimate: $75 - $100 Open: $45 |
