Item: 201 Description: Lightning Arrester: Encased lightning arrester. Cool looking piece with copper, steel and porcelain components. A small metal tablet attached to one end is difficult to read but seems to say Hubbard & Company / Chicago / Autogap Arrester (plus other words). See View 3. I suspect that metal is copper, but the overall piece has exceptionally strong magnetism and I can’t test the tablet by itself. Overall, the device measures 13 inches long by 8 inches tall.
