Item: 200 Description: Fruit Jar: This quart jar is an early production of the Ball Fruit Jar Company. Ball began making fruit jars in 1884, about the time Mason's 1858 patent expired. Ball capitalized on Mason's fame by continuing to use his name and patent date on their early jars. On this jar, the Ball name is on the reverse (View 2).
