Item: 196 Description: Mini-Nail Knobs: “Innie & Outie” Porcelain Knobs. View 2 shows that the cap on the one at the left fit into the base; while the base on the one at the right fit into the cap. The wire fit in between and nailing the cap down was supposed to secure it. Probably wasn’t all that great a concept. The cap on the one at the left has some nibbles, perhaps from when it was made. Grade B-Plus . The one on the right is Grade B-Plus for a nibble on its “outie”. These seem to be scarcer than mini-knobs made of glass. Actually, we have been told that these and those in Item 195 are the only porcelain examples known. If you are aware of others, please let us know. Your one bid is for both. Please read the Item 193 description for an explanation for how these were used. Estimate: $100 - $120 Open: $60 Current bid: $60 |
