Item: 180 Description: CD 164 McLaughlin (Unlisted EIN) Light Blue. It’s always fun to come across an unlisted embossing style. In this case, the embossing is like (020) EXCEPT the “G” is a “G” and not a “C”. Yes, you can tilt the insulator in such a way the “G” looks more like a “C”. But then you can tilt the insulator another way and you can see there’s a serif on the letter making it a “G”. I think the name is spelled correctly and deserves its own sharp-drip-point (EIN). Grade B: Faint impact bruise just after the “N”; small base flake below that removes one drip point. Additional light annealing lines. Estimate: $20 - $30 Open: $10 Current bid: $10 |
