Item: 173  Description: CD 145 Lynchburg (020) Blue Aqua. The Lynchburg Company operated from October 29, 1923 thru May 23, 1925. They were shut down for 7-months in 1924, meaning they only made insulators over 14 months of production. The company kept good records on how many insulators of each style were shipped. No beehive styles were shipped after the plant re-opened in late 1924. During their first 7 months of operation, the company reported shipping only 23,040 beehives. That number is less than one-percent of the four-million insulators the company produced in its short history. Considering that, Lynchburg beehives may be under-valued in the Price Guide. This example, more blue than aqua, is  Grade B for a skirt flake & a base flake. Altogether, 7 drip points are flaked or missing; and another three have bubbles at their tips. The skirt flake removed the bottom of the letter “A”. See View 2.
