Item: 169 Description: Box Lot 6: Six Mixed Signals. Don’t get your signals crossed. Stay with me on this one. This is a fun lot. View 1: Left: CD 133 - This is a really interesting insulator. I show the reverse side because “No 20” is embossed over “STANDARD” and the blot out can be clearly read. But on the other side, the “H” of “H.G. CO.” appears to be embossed over something else. Possibly “H.G.” over an “H.G.” I’ll call this the (050) EIN. But if it’s a double blot out, then it would deserve its own (EIN). Grade B-Plus for small base flake that damages one drip point; and also some annealing separations in the threads. Middle: CD 133 No Name No. 20 in Green & Grade A . Right: CD 134 G.E. Fizzy Aqua with abundant milk in the skirt, particularly to the right of the embossing. The “G” doesn’t match the rest of the embossing, and I think the mold started out as a T-H E. That makes sense since the Thomson-Houston Company became General Electric after a corporate merger in 1892. Grade A-Minus . View 2: Left: CD 161 California in Sage Green Grade B for several dome pings and scuffs. Middle: CD 162 McLaughlin in Sage Green Grade B-Plus for some wire groove wear. Right: CD 134 T-H. E. CO. Light Aqua w/ Milky Swirls. This is likely the same mold as the G.E. in View 1, as the distance from the left side of the “E” to the period after “CO.” is exactly the same on both (23 millimeters). This insulator is Grade C for an impact to the dome that initiated three shallow fractures. Your one bid is for all six signals. Estimate: $50 - $75 Open: $20 Current bid: No bids yet |
