Item: 135  Description: CD 121 W.G.M. (010) Royal Purple. The sticker inside this piece was placed there by well-known Western collector Marv Collins. Marv, now deceased, was connected to some significant insulator discoveries. He was one of the first collectors to obtain CD 260 California helmets in purple and yellow colors that were found at a lumber mill in Northern California. He also acquired, literally, dozens of cobalt blue CD 735 Mulford & Biddle threadless insulators. The note says Marv acquired this piece from a business called “Ranch Antiques” in 1969.  Grade B-Plus: Couple tiny areas of wear on the lower wire ridge; small flake and nibbles around base.
