Item: 13 Description: CD 145 Brookfield (090) Yellow Green. In Lee Brewer’s book, this CREB is a “normal” Shop Number 20 with thick letters. Indeed, all of the embossing on this insulator is quite bold. Grade B-Plus: Small dome scuff above the first “8” in “1883”. View 1 shows a small potstone “star” or facture in the skirt. This occurs because the potstone cooled at a different rate than the glass, thus stressing the glass in the immediate surrounding area. This was present when the glass was formed 140 years ago and isn’t likely to spread now. Estimate: $250 - $300 Open: $120 Closing price: $130 |
