Item: 11 Description: CD 145 No Embossing (020-Grand Canyon Style) Steel Blue & Purple Highlights with a Flow of Milk & Fizz chasing a run-a-way bubble. In View 2, the insulator is illuminated by a LED flashlight for another view of that milky curtain. There are a couple other light milky stringers, one of which is to the left in View 2. These Denver-made insulators are called “Grand Canyons” because they were used on the 65-mile long tourist railroad that went into service on September 17, 1901. Note: A back-lit display will bring out the purple highlights as the steel blue dominates in natural lighting. Grade B-Plus: A lehr kiss left two spots of extra glass adhered to the skirt, and a several shallow pock marks on the dome as visible in View 3.
