Item: 11 Description: CD 306 Lynchburg (020) Bluish Aqua. Embossed “No. 181” on top of one ear. This cable-top Lynchburg is a very scarce CD style. The McDougald’s reference book “Insulators: A History and Guide to North American Glass Pintype Insulators Volume One” states that production records show only 4,205 of these were ever produced. No wonder they are valued at $800 - $1,000 in near mint condition in the Price Guide. This one is Grade C-Minus for flakes around the base as shown in View 1 and View 2; and for extensive internal fractures partially visible in View 3. Estimate: $200 - $250 Open: $120 Closing price: $230 |
