Item: 1 Description: CD 120 Unembossed C.E.W. (010) Dark Purple. They were made for California Electric Works and used on early telephone lines built on the West Coast & Hawaii. This example was found near Susanville, CA. California Electric Works was the contractor for a telephone line to Susanville in the mid-1880’s. Grade B-Plus for a tiny lower wire ridge nick on the View 1 side and a small flake off the dome visible in View 2. For an embossed C.E.W. pony, check out Item 42.
